Lessons
How a lesson works day to day.
Are lessons one-to-one?
Yes. Every lesson is live and one-to-one, so the teacher can listen to the learner recite and correct the reading as they go.
How long is a lesson?
Each lesson is 45 minutes.
What do we need?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a stable internet connection, Zoom or Google Meet, and a quiet place to read.
Are lessons recorded?
No. The academy does not record lessons. A student may record a lesson after telling the teacher.
Do you teach at weekends?
Yes. Weekend lessons cost £0.50 more per lesson.
Who can learn
Children, adults, sisters and families.
What is the youngest age?
Children can start from age 4. A parent sits beside a child aged 4 or 5 during the lesson.
Can complete beginners join?
Yes. The beginners path starts with the Arabic letters and vowel signs, so you do not need to read Arabic first.
Do you teach adults and sisters?
Yes. There are paths for children, adults and sisters, and each lesson is matched to the learner’s level.
Can I choose a female or male teacher?
Yes. Choose a teacher preference in the trial form. Most of our teachers are female, and they teach in English, Arabic and Urdu.

Courses
Reading, Tajweed, Hifz and more.
What is the difference between Quran reading, Tajweed and Hifz?
Reading builds fluency. Tajweed teaches the rules of pronunciation and recitation. Hifz is memorising the Quran with regular revision. Many learners begin with reading, then add Tajweed.
Do you teach in every part of the UK?
Yes. Lessons are online, so families in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can join from home, in UK time.
