Weekend Quran Classes in the UK: Saturday & Sunday, Live 1-to-1
Weekdays fill up with school, work and clubs. A weekend lesson gives Quran learning a calm slot of its own. Your teacher joins you live on Zoom or Google Meet, in UK time, for 45 minutes. The first trial is free.
Why families move Quran lessons to the weekend
Three everyday reasons. If one sounds like your week, a weekend slot may suit you.
Weekday evenings are crowded
Homework, clubs, commutes and dinner leave little room. A weekend lesson does not compete with them.
A calmer mind
Children and adults are usually more rested on Saturday and Sunday, so a 45-minute lesson feels less rushed.
One fixed time every week
A repeatable weekend slot is easy to protect, and a steady weekly lesson is what builds reading.
Weekend lesson or weekday evening?
Neither is better for everyone. This is how they differ.
Weekend lesson
- Saturday or Sunday, at a time that suits your home
- 50p more per lesson
- Less rushed, no school bag or work bag nearby
- One lesson a week fits easily
Weekday evening
- Monday to Friday, after school or work
- The standard price, £3 to £5
- Good for learners who want two or three lessons a week
- Slots can be busy after school
You can mix both, for example a weekend lesson plus a weekday one. Your teacher will help you settle the week.
How the weekend price works
There is one simple rule: a weekend lesson costs 50p more than the same weekday lesson. It is shown per 45-minute lesson, so there is no hidden monthly bundle.
| Lessons (45 minutes) | Weekday | Weekend |
|---|---|---|
| Standard lessons | £3 to £5 | £3.50 to £5.50 |
| Quran with Islamic studies | £6 to £7 | £6.50 to £7.50 |
| Lessons with an Egyptian teacher | £7 to £9 | £7.50 to £9.50 |

Online weekend lessons or a weekend madrasa?
They are different things, and many families use both.
- A weekend madrasa is a group class at a fixed time and place. It gives a child friends, routine and a community.
- An online weekend lesson is private. One teacher hears every mistake and sets the pace, from your own home, with no travel.
- Together, a madrasa gives the group routine and a weekend lesson adds one-to-one correction in the reading.

Making one weekend lesson a week work
Progress comes from the days between lessons as much as the lesson itself.
- Keep the same slot. The same day and time every week makes it a habit, not an errand.
- Read a little each day. Five to ten minutes of what your teacher set is enough. Children can do it with a parent.
- Write down questions. Bring them to the next lesson and ask your teacher in English, Arabic or Urdu.
A weekend slot is a good start, but how fast anyone learns depends on practice. Some learners add a second lesson later.
What you can study at the weekend
Any course can be taught in a weekend slot. Pick one, or start with the trial and your teacher will suggest where to begin.
Online everywhere in the UK
Lessons are online, so the weekend slot is the same wherever you live. See Online Quran classes in the UK, or your city.
Weekend Quran classes: your questions
Do you offer Quran classes on Saturday and Sunday?
Yes. Weekend lessons are live and one-to-one, online, on Saturday or Sunday. Tell us the day and the time window you can keep, and we match you with a teacher whose timetable fits.
How much do weekend Quran classes cost?
A weekend lesson costs £0.50 more than the same weekday lesson. Standard lessons are £3 to £5 for 45 minutes on a weekday, so £3.50 to £5.50 at the weekend. The full price list is on the prices page.
How long is a weekend lesson?
Forty-five minutes, the same as a weekday lesson.
Are weekend lessons one-to-one?
Yes. There are no group classes. One teacher teaches one student, live on Zoom or Google Meet.
What time are weekend lessons?
Lessons run on UK time, which is GMT in winter and BST in summer. You choose the weekend window that suits your home, and a fixed weekly slot keeps the routine steady.
Can beginners learn the Quran only at weekends?
Yes. Beginners start with the Arabic letters through Noorani Qaida, and can do that in a weekend slot. Progress is steadier if the learner reads a few minutes between lessons.
Can children have weekend lessons?
Yes. Children can start from age 4. A parent sits beside a child aged 4 or 5 during the lesson.
Can adults learn at weekends?
Yes. Many adults prefer a weekend slot because work fills the week. Adults can start from the letters or restart after a long gap.
Are weekend lessons recorded?
No. The academy does not record lessons. A student may record after telling the teacher.
Can siblings learn on the same weekend?
Yes. Two or three siblings can learn on the same weekend, and they get a sibling discount on the final price. Tell us the days you can all manage.
Is the first weekend trial free?
Yes. The first trial lesson is free. If the teacher is not the right fit, you can have a second free trial with a different teacher.
Is it Zoom or Google Meet?
Either. Lessons run on Zoom or Google Meet, whichever you prefer.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. A refund is given if you decide lessons are not for you.
Is an online weekend lesson the same as a weekend madrasa?
No. A weekend madrasa is a group class at a set time and place. An online weekend lesson is private, at home, with one teacher. Many families use both.
